A CVS store manager contacted the Scarsdale Police Department at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, reporting a suspicious man in the store. Police said the manager described the man as an African American around the age of 50, with short gray hair wearing a black suit and carrying a black jacket.
According to police, the manager recognized the man from an alleged larceny in the past. The suspect saw the store manager and quickly headed for the door. The suspect proceeded to walk to Kirari Sushi on Garth Road, quickly leaving with a woman in a white vehicle.
Police said that the suspect was spotted making a U-Turn on Garth Road before taking off southbound on the Bronx River Parkway. The manager managed to get a picture of the vehicle’s license plate, but a canvas of the area did not turn up the suspect. The incident remains under investigation.
